More than 30 teas from 17 provinces of China, alongside tea traditions from around the world, all gathered in one room. This year’s theme centers on tea from every region of China. From Shan Dong to Guang Dong, guests will have the opportunity to taste what each landscape has nurtured side by side in a single sitting. Throughout the evening, attendees can also explore special tastings and comparisons, including: Salt and ginger tea, Tang Dynasty–style Japanese vs. Chinese tea, side by side A wu long from Argentina (yes, really) Ultra high-end milk tea with top-terroir leaves Nepalese green and red teas from the Himalayas A holiday for tea lovers hosted by tea lovers, this gathering offers a unique opportunity to travel through tea country in a single evening, meet fellow enthusiasts, and discover new favorites. Guests will also receive 15% off any tea purchases made during the event. Beyond the tastings, the United Nations designated May 21 as International Tea Day to promote sustainable production and consumption of tea and to raise awareness of tea’s role in alleviating hunger and poverty worldwide.
