Join the Asian American Education Project, the NYC DOE’s Department of Social Studies & Civics, and the Museum of Chinese in America for a full-day professional learning workshop that invites educators to engage deeply with Asian American Pacific Islander history, identity, and civic belonging. Participants will: Learn from a panel of scholars who developed AAPI Hidden Voices materials, Dr. Vivian Louie, Dr. Mae Ngai and Chris Kwok, on the topic of activism in AAPI communities Participate in workshops led by the NYC Hidden Voices team and the Asian American Education Project Receive free copies of Hidden Voices materials and graphic novels about AAPI history Join a tour of MOCA’s current exhibitions Walk away with resources & practical ideas for classroom implementation REGISTRATION IS FREE!
