About this event
Join us every Tuesday at 11 a.m. for Sea Tales. Each week we will read a story representing one of the animals or exhibits at the museum and complete an interactive craft or science activity based on the story. This week we will read Sam the Sea Cow by Francine Jacobs. Sam is called a sea cow because that’s what he looks like–a big cow grazing in the ocean. He is also called a manatee. Readers are introduced to Sam when he is just hours old–though already forty pounds!–and watch him grow up. We will read all about Sam and make a manatee craft.
