In dialogue with Mary-Ann Monforton’s Heart Land, poets Zan de Parry and M. Hodges of Keith LLC, alongside LA-based writer Mason McClay, present a mixed-media performance featuring poetry, analog and digital sound, field recording, and projection, inspired by the worlds and outer-worlds the artist’s works celebrate. The program highlights art’s use of humor and irreverence as a critical strategy for revealing and reflecting on the absurdities of contemporary life. About the Presenters MATTHEW HODGES is a Greek-American artist who is based in Texas at this time. He is the co-author of the collection Austerity Brunch & has published in various media, both online and print. He releases audio work under the name Oil Company.
