Spring Break Teen Workshop | Paint!

The Museum of Fine Arts St. Petersburg is hosting its first-ever week of Spring Break Teen Workshops! Students from ages 13-17 are invited to join us for immersive days of learning, creativity, and hands-on artmaking. Teens can register for a single day or mix and match sessions throughout the week. Purchase the full-week package for a discount! The Museum of Fine Arts exhibits a wide range of paintings and painting styles from all over the world. This workshop will focus on Impressionism and the practice of painting “en plein  air”, or “in the open air.” After touring our collection with an MFA Docent to explore Impressionist artworks and the movements they inspired, teens will gather materials and sketch out ideas for their own paintings. We’ll then head outdoors to paint directly from observation, experimenting not only with color and light, but also with tools beyond traditional paintbrushes.    Spring Break Teen Workshop | Paint!
