Studio Saturdays | Black-Out Poetry

Put on your writing hats and bring your creative minds! This month, join us for a FREE pop-up studio in the Mary Alice McClendon Conservatory, where we’ll explore the art of Black-Out Poetry. Inspired by the MFA’s artwork, you’ll uncover hidden poems tucked inside existing texts to capture the essence of your favorite pieces. Plus, January is Poetry Month at the MFA! Don’t miss the celebration’s finale: a live reading by our Teen Poetry Fellows on January 28th. Designed for visitors of all ages, Studio Saturdays happen every second Saturday and include a free art-making activity. Enjoy Café Clementine, where members enjoy a 15% discount, and browse the MFA Shop for books, gifts and art supplies to take home. Sat, Jan 9, 9 AM – 11 AM FREE FOR EVERYONE Not yet a member?
