Event Details Safety, Security and Digital Transformation Thursday, November 5, 2026 3:00 pm Eastern / 12:00 pm Pacific The University of Pittsburgh is undergoing a comprehensive digital transformation centered on enhancing safety, security, and the overall campus experience. A core component of this initiative is the transition from traditional plastic ID cards to a fully digital mobile credential available through Apple Wallet and Google Wallet. This presentation will explore how safety and security guided every phase of this evolution from technology selection and integration, to implementation planning, stakeholder collaboration, and communication strategies. Discussion Questions 1. How many of you have already implemented or explored mobile credentials on your campus or in your organization? 2. What is the biggest safety or security concern you hear from your community around identity and access? 3. When you hear digital transformation, what comes to mind first: convenience or security, and why? By the end of the program, participants will be able to 1. Identify the key components of Pitt's digital transformation road map that supported secure implementation; technology partnerships, infrastructure readiness, policy updates, and communication planning. 2. Apply lessons learned from Pitt's approach to evaluate or strengthen digital credentialing and safety processes within their own campuses or organizations.
