Thriller Film Series: Cerdita/Piggy Thursday, Oct. 8, 2026 7:00 pm NHCC | Bank of America Theatre Just in time for Halloween, join us for our Thriller! film series, in partnership with Instituto Cervantes de Albuquerque. We will be screening four films, all from the thriller genre. Our series kicks off on Oct. 8 with Cerdita/Piggy (2022), a gripping vengeance tale set in Extremadura. NOTE: All films in this series are intended for mature audiences. About the film: For Sara, summer means enduring the taunts of mean girls in her village in rural Extremadura. But everything changes when a stranger comes to town and the bullies mysteriously disappear. Does Sara know more about their whereabouts than she’s letting on?
