14th Annual Cine Magnífico Spanish-Language Film Festival: Jone, a veces/Jone, Sometimes Sunday, September 11, 2026 5:30 – 7:00 pm The National Hispanic Cultural Center (NHCC) and Instituto Cervantes of Albuquerque are teaming up to bring the annual ¡Cine Magnífico! Spanish-Language Film Festival back to the Center with an expanded slate of modern Spanish and Latin American cinema. NHCC | Bank of America Theatre Jone traces the eponymous main character’s coming of age during an eventful and poignant, if conflictive, summer in Bilbao. On the one hand, the season is marked by her father’s growing debilitation due to Parkinson’s, which spurs within Jone anger and fear at his impending absence. Yet she also revels in the excitement of the city’s “Semana Grande” festival and the feeling of immortality she shares with her friend Olga. In Spanish & Basque with English subtitles.
