Meet the Author: Megan VanGorder

Join us for this virtual event LIVE on Facebook, Tuesday, March 16th at 7 p.m. with author Megan VanGorder and a presentation about her book, “A Mother’s Work: Mary Bickerdyke, Civil War-Era Nurse: The Veteran Reserve Corps in America’s Civil War,” followed by a Q&A. Megan VanGorder has a master’s degree in history from Northern Illinois University and teaches at Illinois State University with concentrations on the Civil War and Reconstruction, gender, medical institutions, race, and memory.
