About this event
Join artist Hayley Ruland for a fun and creative Paint By Glass workshop! In this hands-on class, participants will create their own wildlife-inspired landscape featuring a bison using mosaic glass and wood. You’ll bring your piece to life by selecting from a variety of glass colors to design your unique landscape. You’ll learn how to nip and glue glass into the custom 3D wooden palette to create a unique mixed-media artwork full of color and texture. No prior glass experience is needed, just come ready to create and leave with a one-of-a-kind piece inspired by the beauty of Wyoming. This class is presented alongside the exhibition Bison-tennial: From Colonization to Rematriation. A museum educator will lead a close looking tour for the first 30 minutes of the class to learn more about and reflect on the bison. The next 3 hours will conclude with art making in the classroom. This class will take place from 10 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. on July 25, in the Museum Classroom. Register Now! Make it… View Source
