Carl Bergstrom Talk: Information Foraging in a Digital World

The Department of Biological Sciences invites you to attend a special talk by Carl Bergstrom, a professor of biology at the University of Washington. Bergstrom's research is highly interdisciplinary and focuses on the flow of information through biological and social systems. He is a co-author of the widely used textbook Evolution and a co-author of the popular book Calling Bullsh*t: The Art of Skepticism in a Data-Driven World. His talk will focus on misinformation and disinformation shaping our world and how to spot, dissect and refute misinformation.
