About this event
One of 27 upcoming events at Nebraska State Historical Society.
Join us on December 5th for a day of festive fun and learning. Discover Nebraska’s winter traditions during the holidays of Christmas and Kwanzaa. Let’s celebrate the magic of the season together. Activities include: Tin Ornament Making: When settlers celebrated Christmas in Nebraska, they decorated their trees with tin ornaments! Help us decorate our museum tree or make your own to take home! Kwanzaa Story Time and Kwanzaa Table Setup: After learning more about Kwanzaa traditions, see if you can set up your own table while matching the objects with the correct Swahili word! Next Saturday, we’ll learn more about the holidays of Hanukkah and Las Posadas.
