High Noon November 19, 2026 Noon Register for this Lecture: Title: History of the Nevada State Prison Speaker: Glen Whorton, historian and board member of the Nevada State Prison Preservation Society Talk Summary: Speaker Bio: Glen Whorton began his career as an Officer Trainee in the Department of Prisons and retired after thirty-two years of service. Whorton’s last position was Director of the Department. He has additional experience as an Army Aviator, Community College Instructor, Ombudsman for the Nevada Attorney General, and Hearing Representative for the Nevada Parole Board.
