An old fashioned Christmas on the farm! Travel back to a simpler time before there were cars and big machinery. Our guides will be in period dress and ready to welcome you on your arrival! Our property has been gaily decorated with freshly cut pine boughs, garland and wreaths. Baskets of pinecones, boughs and bittersweet adorn the center hallway. DATE: Saturday December 5, 2026 TIME:10:00 to 4:00 A full day of Christmas activities! Youngsters of all ages will enjoy making a pinecone decoration for our outdoor feathery friends. Keep it for your tree, or hang it outside on our tree. Tractor rides, Barn tours, and the Blacksmith Shoppe will be open with live demonstrations! Make popcorn on the open fire outside! Visit the 1940s kitchen and sample homemade gingerbread cake, mincemeat pie, and Christmas cake (fruit cake). Meet young Emma Jones as she fashions this year’s gingerbread house. Enjoy the fragrance of our live Christmas tree, decorated with freshly strung cranberries, pine cones, pomanders, cinnamon sticks, and candle clips. Sing along with your hostess to such Victorian favorites as Good King Wencelas, God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen, and more! Our tavern will have a variety of craftsmen demonstrating their trades. In the Victorian dining room, the table is set with the 1825 Haviland china that Levi and Betsy Plummer Jones used to entertain their guests. Find out what crystallized ginger was used for! See if you can name some of the interesting serving pieces that were used at meal time. Luncheon items will be available for purchase. Make sure to stop by the Country Store for a souvenir of New Hampshire, a special homemade Christmas gift, jams and jellies for Christmas day, or a unique hostess gift! Admission MEMBERS & Blue Star Families: FREE ADULTS: $15 SENIORS (65+): $13 JUNIORS (4-17): $10 CHILDREN (under 4): FREE FAMILY PASS (two adults + their kids or grandkids): $40
