Music Under the Stars An Evening with the NMPhil at the Botanic Garden Saturday, September 5, 2026 • 7:15 p.m. Doors open at 6 p.m. Jason Altieri, conductor Spend your Labor Day weekend with the New Mexico Philharmonic in one of Albuquerque’s most beautiful outdoor settings! Surrounded by the lush gardens and beneath the evening sky, enjoy an inspiring program of audience favorites led by our popular guest conductor Jason Altieri. From the excitement of John Williams’ iconic Superman March and Bernstein’s sparkling Candide Overture to the infectious rhythms of Florence Price’s Juba Dance, Holst’s vibrant St. Paul’s Suite, and the exhilarating finale of Dvořák’s Symphony No. 8, this concert offers something for everyone. The evening concludes with Sousa’s timeless The Stars and Stripes Forever, making for a joyful Labor Day weekend celebration. Bring a blanket or chair, pack a picnic, and settle in for an unforgettable evening of marvelous music. Parking Information: A free shuttle service will run from the zoo parking lot at 903 10th St. SW to the Botanic Garden. Service will start at 5:30 pm and return shuttles will run until 9:30. The parking lot at the Botanic Garden is limited to 250 spaces: 10 handicapped and 2 EV. Once the Botanic Garden lot is full traffic will be directed to the shuttle lot to avoid gridlock on Central Avenue.
