Date Sunday, August 30, 2026 Time 1-3 PM, check-in 12:45 PM Girl Scout Level: Brownies, Grades 2-3 Location: New Museum Los Gatos, 106 E. Main St, Los Gatos Ticket Cost per Girl Scout: $45 Includes: Art and Design Badge Materials + Take-home finished project Museum Admission for the day for participating Girl Scout + one guardian *Each additional accompanying adult receives 50% off museum admission for the day Register Chaperones: There must be 2 chaperones (parents or troop leaders) present in the classroom at all times. Chaperones may take shifts and also enjoy exploring the museum galleries and lounge. Girl Scouts will explore art and design through hands-on activities including painting, printmaking, and building. Brownies will tour NUMU’s galleries with a museum professional, experiment with line-making, printmaking techniques, and create their own painted portraits. Each Girl Scout will also design and build a custom frame to display their artwork. This engaging program is a fun experience you won’t want to miss! In this program, Girl Scouts will: 1.  Explore art and design  2.  Experiment with the elements   3.  Learn about composition   4.  Make art about a subject   5.  Share your artwork Program Purpose When you've earned this badge, you’ll know how makers turn ideas into art and design projects. Further Details: Troop leaders must provide enough adult chaperones to maintain Girl Scouts official ratio (1:6, with an additional adult chaperone for every additional 6 scouts) Adult chaperones must sign in at the front desk Children will be working with art supplies and may get messy. Dress accordingly! Parents/guardians are responsible for bringing scouts to and from events, bathroom escorts, and supervision while in the museum galleries. Drop-ins may buy tickets at the front desk if there is space available. These events do sell out, so space is not guaranteed, and you are highly encouraged to pre-register. To reserve a badge program for your troop, or for further questions, please email education@numulosgatos.org All sales final. If a Girl Scout cannot attend, they have a one-time option to transfer into a different session of the same value. The request must be received in writing a week prior to the program date and emailed to education@numulosgatos.org  A minimum of 8 Girl Scouts is required to host the program. If the minimum is not met one week prior to program date, it may be cancelled and the purchaser will be promptly notified and refunded.
