Join us for the Salon Supper Club Presented by First Horizon Bank, a food- and art-focused series of events inspired by works on view at the New Orleans Museum of Art. This fall’s Salon Supper Club will take inspiration from the upcoming exhibition Second Nature: Japanese Rinpa Paintings from the Gitter-Yelen Collection. Guests will enjoy an elegant seated dinner with wine and cocktails in NOMA’s Great Hall (limited to 150 guests). She followed her passion and enrolled at the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, New York, where she graduated at the top of her class and worked as an intern in the seafood department. In the melting pot that is New Orleans, Sue found immeasurable inspiration that quickly began to influence her cooking and the flavors she loves to work with. She was named Executive Chef at Gautreau’s Restaurant in 2005, which led to national success, including being named 2013 “Best Chef, South” by the James Beard Foundation and “Top Ten Best New Chefs” by Food & Wine Magazine in 2008. In November 2025, Sue was honored once again when Zasu earned a Michelin Star as part of the inaugural MICHELIN Guide American South edition—making it one of only three restaurants in New Orleans to receive the honor and the only Michelin-starred restaurant in Louisiana run by a woman. In the 20 plus years that Sue has called New Orleans the ”home of her heart”, she continues to give back to the city that has helped shape who she is today.
