Studio KIDS!: Woven in Color

Join us at the museum on select Saturday mornings for Studio KIDS! and Little Learners youth art-making workshops. In these workshop series designed for artists ages 4-5 (Little Learners) and 6-12 (Studio KIDS!), we’ll take inspiration from works on view across the museum and the Besthoff Sculpture Garden and make our own creations with a teaching artist. About Studio KIDS!: Woven in Color After discussing color theory, participants will walk through the galleries of the museum on a mission to spot a series of color schemes and harmonies. Artists will use their findings as inspiration, creating their own woven artworks showcasing their chosen color schemes using looms, yarn, and fabric. This Studio KIDS! session will be led by teaching artist Krystyna. Registration is $25 for members and $30 for other participants. Advance registration is required and includes the price of all art-making materials. Register for Studio KIDS!: Woven in Color Studio KIDS! participants also receive a 10% discount on purchases made at the NOMA Museum Shop. The discount is valid only for the day of their workshop attendance. Participants must show proof of attendance to receive the discount. Markdown and consignment merchandise is excluded from the discount. Please note: capacity for each Studio KIDS! session is 12 participants, and capacity for each Little Learners session is 10 participants. Registration will close at 12 pm the day before the workshop. Refunds will not be issued for cancellations made after 12 pm the Thursday before the workshop.
