Named one of The New York Times’ Best Shows of 2017, this joyful and inventive musical adaptation of Shakespeare’s beloved comedy transforms the Forest of Arden into a vibrant folk-pop celebration of self-discovery and belonging. After being banished from court, Rosalind escapes into the wilderness disguised as a young man, where she encounters an unforgettable cast of exiles, fools, lovers, and dreamers. Featuring an infectious original score by Shaina Taub, AS YOU LIKE IT is a heartwarming story about finding your people, embracing who you are, and discovering that home can be found wherever community takes root. Sunday, November 1, the Carlsbad Village Street Faire will bring thousands of visitors to the Village for one of the largest one-day street fairs in the country. The Faire runs from 8:00 AM–4:00 PM and will result in significant crowds, street closures, increased traffic, and limited parking throughout Carlsbad Village. If you plan to attend the Sunday matinee of AS YOU LIKE IT, please allow significant additional time for travel and parking. We strongly recommend arriving in the Village earlier than you normally would and considering alternate parking or transportation options.
