Before Hamilton, there was IN THE HEIGHTS: the Tony Award-winning musical that introduced the world to Lin-Manuel Miranda’s groundbreaking voice. Set in New York City’s vibrant Washington Heights neighborhood, the story follows bodega owner Usnavi and the friends, families, and neighbors who dream, struggle, celebrate, and build a future together. Filled with unforgettable songs, electrifying dance, and a blend of hip-hop, salsa, merengue, and soul, IN THE HEIGHTS is a joyful celebration of heritage, resilience, and the power of community. At its heart, it asks a timeless question: What does it mean to belong? Sunday, November 1, the Carlsbad Village Street Faire will bring thousands of visitors to the Village for one of the largest one-day street fairs in the country. The Faire runs from 8:00 AM–4:00 PM and will result in significant crowds, street closures, increased traffic, and limited parking throughout Carlsbad Village. If you plan to attend the Sunday matinee of AS YOU LIKE IT, please allow significant additional time for travel and parking. We strongly recommend arriving in the Village earlier than you normally would and considering alternate parking or transportation options.
