Artist Spotlight: Batiashvili, Capuçon & Thibaudet

In an eagerly awaited Artist Spotlight, a stellar trio — Lisa Batiashvili, Gautier Capuçon and Jean-Yves Thibaudet — explores the rich inspiration three composers brought to the piano trio. Shostakovich and Debussy wrote their trios before age 20, offering early glimpses of their later styles. Dvořák’s trio, by contrast, is a mature work and one of his most emotionally powerful compositions.
