Emanuel Ax Performs Beethoven

Emanuel Ax plays Beethoven’s lyrical Piano Concerto No. 4, a radiant work whose hushed opening gives way to an ebullient finale. Semyon Bychkov conducts George Walker’s solemn Lyric for Strings to open the program, which concludes with Musorgsky’s vivid Pictures at an Exhibition.
