How does Newton Community Farm address hunger in our commununty?

For the past 20 years, the farm has donated at least 10% of the produce grown each season by making weekly produce donations to local organizations such as the Newton Food Pantry, the Newton Community Freedge, and Boston Area Gleaners. We donate the same top-quality, freshly harvested items that we sell at our farm stand and at the Newton Farmers’ Market to help local families in need.

What is the Ride & Stride for Food?

Three Squares New England, one of our nonprofit partners, organizes this annual event to help local organizations like us raise funding. Our shared goal is to ensure all families have consistent access to nourishing, culturally relevant food—three square meals a day—delivered in ways that promote choice, dignity, and health. The farm’s weekly produce donations are largely funded by the contributions we raise during this annual event.

How can I help provide fresh produce to local families?

Ride or Walk with our team! Newton Community Farm’s team includes staff, board members, volunteers, and friends of the Farm—all united by a shared commitment to ending hunger. Our team includes some on bikes and some on foot, all are welcome! Bring a friend!

Donate to support our efforts! Our goal is to raise $30,000 to provide fresh, nutritious produce to local agencies serving those in need.

Volunteer at the event! Be part of a community-driven effort to make sure no one goes without. Contact laila@newtoncommunityfarm.org
