About this event
One of 28 upcoming events at Northern Illinois University.
What makes something valuable? Why do we value some things more than others? Exploring topics such as currencies, commodities, trade networks, art markets and the cost of dying, this exhibition reflects on how we assign value to the things in our lives — and why that matters. The exhibition features displays curated by Jacob Harvey (M.A., anthropology 2027), Janine Salapantan (B.A., anthropology 2026; M.A., anthropology 2028), and Priscilla Kissi (M.A., history 2027) as well as contributions from students in ANTH 462/562 and the museum's gallery and museum assistants.
