The North Shore Arts Association welcomes you to experience a solo exhibition of works by North Shore Arts member and critically acclaimed painter, Jeffrey Weaver, on view from August 6 – August 30, 2026. Jeff Weaver, born and raised in Massachusetts, showed early artistic talent, taking portrait commissions by age fourteen and winning statewide awards in drawing and sculpture while studying under sculptor Eleanor Marvin. After high school, he attended the School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston and moved to Gloucester in 1972, where he sketched and painted the waterfront daily. He supported himself through waterfront jobs, boat portrait commissions, and more than 30 murals throughout the city. Since returning to fine art in the 1990s, he has focused on depicting Gloucester and now operates a studio/gallery on Rogers Street along the waterfront. More of Jeff’s work can be found on his website, jeffweaverfineart.com.
