What is Immersive Theatre? Immersive Theater erases the boundary between audience and performer by creating a world with set, technology, and actors that our audiences can participate in as a walk-through experience. Immersive theatre can take many forms, and you may have experienced something like this before at a haunted house, theme park, or murder mystery dinner. Performers will develop advanced improvisational skills, heightened spatial awareness, and deeper emotional engagement as they interact with audiences in a non-traditional performance setting. Meanwhile, TechTrack students will gain hands-on experience with practical effects, atmospheric sound design, immersive lighting techniques, and environmental storytelling. Check Out Our FREE UpSTARt Workshops! Synopsis Beyond the Looking Glass pulls audiences into a vibrant, neon-lit Wonderland that feels playful, curious, and just a little off. Travelers begin their journey by tumbling through a glowing spiral portal into a world bursting with oversized UV flowers, grinning mushrooms, jittery rabbits, and a tea party that seems stuck in a perpetual sugar rush. Everything is colorful, charming, and delightfully strange… until the seams start to show. Characters glitch mid-sentence. Laughter freezes. Eyes linger too long. Something unseen is twisting Wonderland from beyond the shadows. As the journey continues, the glow-in-the-dark fantasy begins to crack, revealing a cold reflection beneath. A strange presence known as The Mirror Queen is quietly overwriting the world piece by piece, replacing real Wonderland with a perfect, but hollow, copy. Hedge mazes warp, queens glitch like broken puppets, and Tulgey Wood whispers warnings in the dark. In the final confrontation at the shimmering Pool of Tears, the audience must decide: restore Wonderland’s fading heart, or surrender to the Mirror Queen’s warped dream. The fate of an entire world, whimsical and trippy, rests in their hands. Warnings: Drinking Celebrations, Drugs, and Smoking, Fog/Haze, Flashing Lights.
