🧩Sensory-Friendly Morning

About this event
One of 291 upcoming events at Northeast Texas Children's Museum.
When: 3rd Monday of the Month, 9:30 AM – 12:00 PM (the museum is normally closed Mondays — this is a special exception) What: A lower-sensory environment for kids with autism, anxiety, sensory processing disorder, or other special needs — no music playing, smaller crowds, dimmed lighting where possible, and new sensory-friendly activities set out just for this event. Why: Every child has unique needs, and NETX — as a nonprofit that relies on strong community support — wants to make sure all kids have a comfortable place to play. Attendance note: This special morning is reserved exclusively for children with sensory sensitivities, autism, anxiety, or other special needs, along with their families. To protect the quiet, low-stimulation environment we've created, we kindly ask families without these specific needs to visit us during our regular hours instead. Note: This will run as a recurring event on the third Monday of the month for the next three months as a trial to gauge community interest.
