When a great big adventure sweeps Dorothy far from home, she and her unforgettable new friends discover that the brains, heart, and courage they've been searching for were inside them all along. Reimagined with a modern twist and packed with popular songs that theatergoers of every generation will love, The Wizard of Oz reminds us that there's truly no place like home, and no magic quite like believing in yourself. We're not in Kansas anymore! ❓Frequently Asked Questions Does every child need a ticket? Yes. Every guest, regardless of age, must have their own ticket and reserved seat. This includes infants and children who will be sitting on an adult’s lap. Can we bring our own food? Yes! Just like at Downtown Cabaret, families are welcome to bring their own picnic to enjoy at their table. Outside alcohol is not permitted, but alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase at FTC for guests 21 and older. Will concessions be available? Yes. FTC’s concession stand will be open with popcorn, candy, chips, soda, water and alcoholic beverages for guests 21 and older. What ages are these shows appropriate for? TYA productions are created especially for preschool and elementary school-age children, but the experience is designed to be enjoyed by the whole family. When do doors open and how long are the shows? Doors open 30 minutes before curtain. Each performance runs approximately 60 minutes. Yes. All TYA performances feature reserved cabaret-style seating at tables. You will select your individual seats when purchasing tickets. Do we have to purchase the entire table? No. Tickets are sold by the individual seat, so you do not need to purchase every seat at your table. Please be aware that other guests may purchase any remaining seats. If you would like a private table, you must purchase every seat at that table. Can we add seats or move tables so our group can sit together? No. Tables are arranged with either four or five seats and cannot be moved or combined. For safety reasons, we cannot add additional chairs. If your group cannot fit at one table, you’re welcome to purchase seats at a nearby table. Parking is available in designated areas surrounding the Fairfield train station, directly across from FTC. Two-hour parking restrictions apply Monday through Friday from 5:00 AM–5:00 PM. Parking is free after 5:00 PM on weekdays and throughout the weekend. Please follow all posted signs and review the FTC parking map before your visit. Is accessible seating available? Yes. Accessible seating is available for TYA performances. For help selecting the best seats for your family, contact the Box Office at 203-259-1036 during our office Hours Tuesday-Friday 12PM - 5PM.
