Well, step back in time and join the Nye Museum for a Commonplace Book workshop! Commonplace books were used for centuries as ways to collect and record information and inspiration. Join us for a hands-on workshop where you’ll learn all about commonplace books including their history and how to use one. This method is a great way to curate your thoughts, collect ideas, take down recipes, write down bits of useful information, remember song lyrics, and record reflections. You’ll get started on creating one that you can keep and bring home with you! The Nye Museum will provide examples from its archives – photocopies of antique photos and documents – for you to use as inspiration.
