Learn more about Stephen Kent: Stephen Kent Didgeridoo Photo credit V of the U ABOUT STEPHEN KENT Stephen Kent is a multi-instrumentalist, composer, and one of the premier didgeridoo virtuosos in the contemporary world. Born in England and raised in East Africa, he has pioneered the use of the ancient Aboriginal instrument in contemporary music for more than four decades. His international career began with Circus Oz in Australia and continued in London and the United States, spanning performance, recording, and collaborations across musical genres. Since 2006, Stephen has increasingly focused on New Classical music, performing works by composers such as Peter Sculthorpe. He has collaborated with renowned artists including Wayne Shorter, Zakir Hussain, Airto Moreira, Habib Koité, R. Carlos Nakai, and Omar Sosa, and has released numerous solo and group recordings. His music brings together ancient tradition, contemporary sound, world music, and classical influences in a uniquely powerful experience.
