Infusing Jazz, Pop, and Blues classics with a light and playful Latin accent, THE LARKS pdx – by popular demand – took wing from the summer garden party behind the house to the front stage in Portland’s wine-bar, wedding, and party jazz scene. While their influences are many, the sounds they create are uniquely their own. THE LARKS can warm up a room to HOT with a neighborly ease that invites the listener to soak it in, dance, or just sit back and enjoy the music. Robin Ady’s caramel voice swings fast and easy in the soulful hands of keyboardist husband, Byron Ady, whose improvisation anchors itself in influences from Gershwin to Monk. Robin and Byron are often joined by other musicians who add new levels of delight to their sound.
