About this event

Art Classes Workshops Arts & Culture

In this class, we’ll explore the human hand as both a form and a language—something that holds, reaches, releases, and connects. Together, we’ll create expressive ceramic hand sculptures that reflect personal emotion, memory, or intention (or just a really nice jewelry holder!). You’ll be guided through the process of building a hand from clay, focusing on proportion, gesture, and surface detail. Whether you choose to create something realistic or more abstract, this workshop encourages you to follow your instincts and let the piece become a reflection of what you’re feeling. At the end, you will get to choose the glaze color! (Cone 6 = 2 week turnaround/Cone 10 = 8 weeks turnaround) This class is open to all experience levels. No prior clay experience is needed—just a willingness to create and explore. Come as you are, and leave with a piece that feels lived-with and alive. Time: 6pm-8pm Instructor: Marissa Hakes Level: Age 16 and up Refunds less credit card fees are available up to 7 days before the class begins. After that period, the fee is non-refundable. However, you may transfer your ticket to a friend.
