Printmaking Studio Intro to Etching

Printmaking Studio presents: Introduction to Etching Workshop You too can make beautiful hand made etching prints the same way that Rembrandt made his famous masterworks! Learn how a line drawing on a metal plate is turned into a printing plate that can then be printed on paper. Learn how to etch your zinc plate, and pull a print from it on our press using traditional intaglio materials and methods under Master Printmaker, Michael Richardson. This single session workshop teaches how to ground a plate, draw on it, etch it, and print it. All materials for this workshop provided. This workshop is the first, in a series of sessions covering various traditional hand printmaking methods such as etching, aquatint, engraving, and relief printmaking.
