There was this hi-fi home audio store ILVS would pass on her way to her old job. She finally stopped in one day, chatted the worker up. Half jokingly she asked what the most expensive speakers he had were. ‘Follow me,’ he said, and he led her down to the listening room. It was not so much the song he played that got her, but the profound, elevated clarity of sound she experienced. She heard sound in the way sound was meant to be heard. She heard the absolute beauty and harmony of the universe. A window to the cosmos opened and to this day she still feels that breeze moving through her. And so it began, a quest to answer the question: What is sound? Ñ (ENYE) is an audiophile’s unhurried narrative that tangents into the physics of sound, the advent of language, and inquiries of basic human needs. Humorous, sly, and introspective, Ñ —a green rabbit— guides the audience on a journey through an intentional soundscape, audible and otherwise. Había una tienda de equipos de audio de alta fidelidad por la que ILVS pasaba de camino a su antiguo trabajo. Un día decidió entrar y conversar con el empleado. Medio en broma, le preguntó cuáles eran los altavoces más caros que tenía. «Sígueme», dijo él, y la condujo a la sala de escucha. Lo que la cautivó no fue tanto la canción que él reprodujo, sino la profunda y sublime claridad del sonido que experimentó. Escuchó el sonido tal y como debía escucharse; percibió la belleza y la armonía absoluta del universo. Se abrió una ventana al cosmos y, hasta el día de hoy, ella sigue sintiendo esa brisa recorriéndola. Así comenzó una búsqueda para responder a la pregunta: ¿Qué es el sonido? Ñ (ENYE) es la narración pausada de un audiófilo que se adentra en la física del sonido, el surgimiento del lenguaje y las reflexiones sobre las necesidades humanas fundamentales.
