German-based guitarist, composer, arranger, and teacher Alex Misko is a modern fingerstyle guitar prodigy whose viral videos, international tours, and performances at prestigious venues like Carnegie Hall have earned him global acclaim. With seven albums, collaborations with artists including Hans Zimmer, and a self-invented instrument, Misko continues to push the boundaries of contemporary acoustic guitar. Misko began playing classical guitar at age 12 before teaching himself modern fingerstyle guitar. His original piece “Guitar + Pen Tapping Song” became a viral sensation in 2015, followed by hugely popular arrangements of Michael Jackson’s “Billie Jean” and George Michael’s “Careless Whisper,” helping grow his online audience to more than one million YouTube subscribers. In 2018, Misko was named Guitarist of the Year by the UK publication MusicRadar. He released his acclaimed album Roundtrip in 2019 and made his Carnegie Hall debut in 2020 alongside harpist Alexander Boldachev. Their collaboration has since evolved into an innovative touring project that blends guitar and harp into a unique and immersive live performance experience.
