Join Mead Botanical Garden’s Young Naturalist Explorers class, Saturday, May 9, 2026 at 9:30amto learn all about FL wildflowers & the art of Tataki-Zome! 🌼🌸 Get ready to explore the vibrant world of wildflowers! Participants will learn to identify some of the region’s most common species while enjoying a guided hike and an interactive game of wildflower bingo. Following our outdoor adventure, we’ll return to the Discovery Barn to discover Tataki-zome, a traditional botanical art form that uses natural pigments from plants to create beautiful prints. All materials, including art paper and flowers, will be provided. Guests are welcome to bring an old cotton shirt if they’d like to create a wearable piece. This engaging, hands-on program blends environmental education with creativity, perfect for curious minds and explorers! 🌸 What to bring? Please wear comfortable walking shoes or boots in case its wet/muddy. Guests are welcome to bring an old cotton shirt if they’d like to create a wearable art piece.
