Christopher Theofanidis) Every ticket is FREE for our 2026-27 Opening Night at Carnegie Hall! Whether you are a lifelong classical music aficionado or attending your first concert, we welcome you to the extraordinary musical experience of Orpheus Chamber Orchestra in Carnegie Hall. It’s a family affair when brothers Lucas and Arthur Jussen make their Orpheus debut, intertwined in effervescent phrases first played by Mozart and his sister. Schumann’s Piano Trio, a creative leap fueled by his intimate collaboration with his wife, Clara, radiates passion and power. Brian Raphael Nabors, the son of a church musician, brings a lifetime of immersion in America’s soulful traditions to this Orpheus commission. Orpheus Chamber Orchestra commissions underwritten by the Charles E. Scheidt Family Foundation. This concert is made possible with the generous support of Dutch Culture USA and the Netherland-America Foundation. Orpheus undertook an experiment in collaboration fifty years ago as an orchestra without a conductor, pioneering a model of inclusion that has since influenced the entire industry. As we raise our own standards of accessibility, we strive to redefine what inclusion in the arts truly means. Thank you to the generous donors who have made this program possible. —Alexander Scheirle, Executive Director Help us offer this program free of charge with a fully tax-deductible donation today!
