Join in for an after-hours event in the Library’s historic Waters building for an evening of reflection, community, and celebration to mark the release of A State of Healing, a collaborative Wisconsin anthology exploring healing, resilience, growth, and the human experience through poetry, prose, and personal storytelling.Contributors from across Wisconsin will share selected readings from their published contributions, offering audiences an opportunity to experience the voices, stories, and perspectives that helped shape this collection.The evening will include:Welcome and opening remarks from editor G. AnthonyReadings by anthology contributorsReflections on the creation and purpose of A State of Healing and what’s to come. Through themes of challenge, recovery, hope, and transformation, A State of Healing invites readers and listeners alike to recognize the experiences that connect us and the possibilities that emerge when those experiences are given a voice.We welcome contributors, readers, writers, mental health advocates, family members, friends, and community members to join us for this special evening.
