Tampa-based saxophonist and 25-year-old Kyle Schroeder, invites his hero on the instrument, Andy Snitzer (saxophonist for Paul Simon, The Rolling Stones, Billy Joel, Chris Botti, and more) for a night of world class saxophone playing and contemporary jazz. Since launching his career in the 1980’s, Andy Snitzer has become a household name in Jazz across the U.S. and the world. Whether he’s on tour or making Billboard #1 records of his own, Andy has proven himself time and time again to be one of the most versatile and sought-after saxophonists in music today. Just as Michael Brecker was a mentor to Andy, Andy has been a mentor to Kyle. Throughout the last few years leading up to the release of Kyle’s debut album, Get With It (heard on Sirius XM Watercolors Ch. 66), Andy has offered his advice and experience to Kyle as he launches his blended career as a saxophonist, composer, and producer. Both graduates of the University of Miami, Andy Snitzer was one of the saxophonists who established the lineage of excellence that Kyle Schroeder follows and builds his career upon. Don’t miss this once in a lifetime opportunity to see and hear Tampa Bay’s own Kyle Schroeder on stage with his hero Andy Snitzer for the very first time! Presented by Kyle Schroeder Music. Whether in the main concert hall, Hough Hall with its unsurpassed new sound system, or kicking back in the intimate Side Door Cabaret, the historic Palladium Theater is consistently ranked as one of Tampa Bay’s best, most affordable venues for classical, jazz, blues, theatre, opera, comedy, dance, educational, literary, community events, and more. The Palladium, located in downtown St. Petersburg’s cultural center, is part of what makes Tampa Bay great.
