About this event
One of 16 upcoming events at Collaborative for Educational Services, and 2,420 across the Pioneer Valley.
Every child experiences the world through their senses, but for some, everyday sensory input (sound, touch, movement, light) can feel overwhelming, underwhelming, or just plain confusing. This interactive workshop introduces early childhood educators to the basics of sensory processing and sensory processing disorders (SPD), including what they look like in the classroom and how they differ from behavior issues. Participants will leave with a practical toolkit of easy-to-implement strategies for supporting sensory-sensitive and sensory-seeking children that can be used immediately in early childhood settings.
