From his wealthy childhood in Peru, Indiana through Yale and Harvard, and his marriage to Linda Thomas (who accepted that he was gay), Cole lived in high style in Paris, New York and Hollywood. In 1928 at 37 Cole’s Broadway career took off with the success of the show Paris. He wrote the music and lyrics for over one thousand songs, from Anything Goes to You’re the Top. Lisa Faith Phillips has performed her original shows in NYC, London, Dublin, Barcelona and at the DC Capital and Edinburgh Fringe Festivals. She is currently studying music theory at Juilliard.
