BUY TICKETSJoin “incredible storyteller” Lisa Faith Phillips, the divine singer Deanna Kirk, and the brilliant John Di Martino on piano for this “wildly entertaining” evening as we weave funny and touching tales of Irving Berlin’s amazing life and loves with his beautiful songs. At just 13 years old, Berlin had to support himself singing for coins on the streets of the Lower East Side, but with the success of his song Alexander’s Rag Time Band at 21, his career took off. Tragically his first wife died shortly after their marriage and his second wife’s millionaire father disowned her for marrying him, inspiring many of his most beautiful love songs. Berlin wrote the music and lyrics for over 1,500 songs during his sixty-year career, from Always to White Christmas and God Bless America! It will be a rollicking laughter-filled evening and we’ll end with crowd-pleasing sing-along!Lisa Faith Phillips has performed her original shows in NYC, London, Dublin, Barcelona and at the DC Capital and Edinburgh Fringe Festivals.
