Friday, August 14, 2026 | 9-10 am, meet at the Alderwood Park picnic shelter Free, pre-registration encouraged (Ages 50+) Join our Park Guides and Senior Activities staff to explore Tacoma’s parks with your peers to walk an accessible route through the park. Learn about the history and nature of the park, socialize and meet new peers, and engage with staff to hear about other Tacoma Parks programs. This is a free, drop-in program. Registration is encouraged! Dress for the weather – walk will happen rain or shine. Participants must be able to travel on unpaved, uneven trails for up to a mile. Service animals permitted, no pets allowed. Please meet at the Alderwood Park picnic shelter near the library parking lot. Refer to the map in the details section below for the exact meeting spot.
