We’ll work in this sunny stretch of trail to free up native salmonberry and huckleberry in this favorite birding spot and entrance trail to our beautiful forest. This site is stewarded by local botanist Romey H. In January, we’ll take a short stroll to ID native trees and shrubs in the winter with bare twigs and other clues. This opportunity is best for ages 12+ because we will mostly be working with blackberries and those bite back! What You’ll Do Remove unwanted weeds Care for newly planted native plants Learn about local ecology and restoration practices Have fun working with fellow nature lovers What to Bring Wear sturdy shoes, weather-appropriate clothing, and bring a water bottle.
