BEGINNING OIL PAINTING – Thursday, October 1,8,15,22, 6:00pm-8:00pm

In this 4 week class you will become familiar with the unique qualities that oil painting offers. Instructor: Jeanne Hougen, www.jeannehougen.com Ages: Teens and Adults, age 15 and up Prerequisite: This class is designed for beginners. Class Size: Minimum of 3, Maximum of 10 Description: In this 4 week class you will become familiar with the unique qualities that oil painting offers. By the end of class you will be comfortable in buying supplies, mixing colors, utilizing underpainting techniques, and building up to a thick impasto finish. You can expect to have finished one to two paintings by the end of the month. Bring to Class: We will discuss supplies in our first class, with all supplies provided for the first two weeks of class. After that you will need to purchase paints and other supplies before week three.
