Art Classes Arts & Culture

We will work on the tricky feather patterns and learn to simplify them along with head and body shapes. Instructor: April Christenson Ages: Adults & Teens Prerequisite: None; class is for both beginning and continuing students Class Size: Minimum 2 students in class, Maximum 8 Description: This class is for beginners and experienced students to explore Colorado birds. We will be focusing on drawing techniques for all those bird details. We will explore birds focusing on drawing techniques for birds big and small. We will work on the tricky feather patterns and learn to simplify them along with head and body shapes. Birds are all around us and there are many easy tips for drawing them. You will have handouts for each class to take home. Also include for class will be photos of birds to practice drawing from! This class is fun and relaxing class for all levels! Bring to Class: Have a 9”x12” spiral bound sketchbook and a set of graphite pencils and eraser. Be sure you have “H” pencils in the set with “B” pencils. Do not get charcoal pencils.
