Join us for an afternoon exploring tapestry weaving on branches! Instructor: Allie Olson Ages: 10 and up Prerequisite: None required Class Size:10 Description: Join us for an afternoon exploring tapestry weaving on branches! This workshop is perfect for the total beginner or the seasoned weaver looking to explore organic shapes. In this class you will create a small tapestry weaving using a branch as the loom. We’ll cover all the steps for creating your weaving start to finish: warping the branch, the basic weaving process, switching yarns, incorporating designs, and finishing the weaving. You’ll walk away with a small textile and sculpture piece inspired by nature. Bring to Class: All supplies and tools, including branches, warp thread, and yarn, will be provided.
