Class will start with simple flower shapes and progress to more complex shapes like tubular flowers. Instructor: April Christenson ( aprilchristensonartist.com/ ) Ages: Adults & Teens Prerequisite: None; class is for both beginning and continuing students Class Size: Maximum students in class: 8 – Minimum 2 Materials fee: $15 payable to instructor Description: Learn the magic of drawing the fascinating plants of nature. Class will start with simple flower shapes and progress to more complex shapes like tubular flowers. We will also learn about how to use colored pencils to add some color to your sketches and drawings. You will be provided with handouts and photos to draw from at the end of each class. These you can take home to refer to at any time. Flowers shapes can also translate into other shapes in our world, see if you can spot any! This class is a fun and relaxing class for all levels! Materials: Bring to class a 9”x12” spiral bound notebook (Strathmore colored pencil sketchbook recommended ) and a set of graphite pencils or pencil, eraser, sharpener. Also bring a set of 12 or 24 Prismacolor colored pencils (not Scholar Prismacolors) or any other set of colored pencils you may already have.
