In this class you will learn all about still life painting Instructor: Jeanne Hougen Ages: Teens and Adults, age 15 and up Prerequisite: This class is designed for someone with some painting experience. If you are a beginner, please contact instructor. Class size: minimum of 3, maximum of 12 Materials Fee: None Description: In this class you will learn all about still life painting. We will look at the old masters still life paintings as well as more modern takes on this subject, then will dive in to designing, setting up, and painting our own pieces. Still life painting offers the painter the learning opportunities that come from painting something from life, but unlike outdoor painting, the still life also allows the painter to control the composition by the way they arrange their objects, as well as their lighting. Bring to class: all you need is a sketchbook and pencil on the first day of class. We will discuss supplies, and you will receive a supply list then.
